His bark was worse than his bite

I'm going to go out on a limb and say: I was rooting for this guy.

Man disguised as tree robs bank

MANCHESTER, N.H. --A weekend bank robbery involved multiple branches -- of the leafy variety.

According to police, a man with tree branches duct-taped to his head and torso walked into a Citizens Bank just as it opened Saturday morning and demanded cash from a teller.

Amy:

Sigh ... well, I suppose I'll have to say it (I'm surprised Janice didn't go there):

Because Tree-Man was unarmed (left his gun in the trunk, apparently) and didn't hurt anyone, his bark was worse than his bite (okay, okay).

All best, El

I imagine this story made the AP writer's perhaps otherwise dull day. Janice, thanks for the photo link. I am boled over at how undisguised he is. What a sap.

El, Amy

You are already so creative, how can I possibly add more?

I suppose I could mention that he was lucky no one lit a cigarette near him, or he would have had a brush fire.

Or what would they call it if this guy had committed suicide? Herbicide?

And Amy I know you called him a sap, but I think he is a sucker.

Seriously, didn't this guy think that leaving the BRANCH bank looking like a shrub might be suspicious? :D
